Hollywood Spectra is a new laser treatment device that further improves upon the “Spectra” Q-switched YAG laser developed by Lutronic, a leading South Korean manufacturer.
By adjusting the two wavelengths (532 nm and 1064 nm) and the laser exposure time (pulse width), it is effective not only for treating dark spots, dullness, and melasma, but also for acne, pore tightening, and improving skin firmness and radiance.
Hollywood Spectra is a treatment device approved by the FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration).

Our clinic has introduced the Hollywood Spectra, the latest version of the Q-switched YAG laser—a treatment that has long enjoyed a solid reputation—rather than a picosecond laser.
We chose the Spectra because of:
・Its long history and proven treatment results
・Its status as a domestically approved device
・Treatment results that rival those of pico lasers
Some people think that since pico lasers are newer and don’t require tape after spot treatment, they must be better. However, even after removing spots with a pico laser, applying tape for 1–2 weeks will yield a cleaner finish.
While there are picosecond lasers that operate at speeds approaching nanoseconds, speed alone does not guarantee treatment effectiveness. For this reason, we have chosen the latest Spectra, which continues to enjoy enduring popularity.
We address a wide range of skin concerns with treatments such as Hollywood Toning for melasma and uneven skin tone, Hollywood Genesis for comprehensive skin rejuvenation and skin health improvement, Hollywood Fractional for pore and texture refinement, and Dual Peel for combination therapy targeting dark spots and skin texture improvement.
Furthermore, we offer spot treatment that allows for precise targeting of dark spots that cannot be fully removed with IPL.
A top-hat beam is a beam shape designed so that the energy distribution across the laser irradiation area is as uniform as possible within the irradiation range, rather than being concentrated only at the center in a peak-shaped pattern.
Rather than focusing energy excessively at the center, this approach aims to minimize unevenness in the treatment of spots and pigmentation by ensuring a balanced energy distribution within the spot.
As a result, it facilitates efficient targeting of specific spots and promotes uniform treatment across the entire face during toning procedures.
The Hollywood Spectra further improves upon the top-hat beam performance of its predecessor, ensuring uniform laser irradiation, minimizing the risk of pigmentation that often occurs, and further reducing skin irritation.
At Yokohama Yamate Clinic, we recommend the PW mode of Sylfirm X in PW mode. However, by finishing with toning after improving the basal membrane with Sylfirm, you can further enhance skin clarity and texture. This treatment uses a 1064nm wavelength to improve melasma and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
Additionally, Since Silfirm is a treatment that uses microneedles, it is a relatively easy choice for those new to aesthetic dermatology, as it involves minimal pain and virtually no downtime.

At Hollywood Spectra, this is calledSpectra Peel.
A 1064nm wavelength laser with an extended pulse duration (long-pulse mode) is applied to the entire face to activate the dermis, which maintains the skin’s elasticity. It also stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the dermis and suppresses sebum secretion, leading to skin that is less prone to acne recurrence.
Additionally, the sensation is similar to taking a warm shower, with virtually no pain, making it recommended even for first-time laser treatment patients. It is a skin-rejuvenating and beautifying laser that can be received with almost

This is a combination treatment for those seeking overall facial rejuvenation, addressing pores, uneven skin texture, acne scars, and fine lines across the entire face. With three treatment modes available, it is effective for those who want to address pores across the entire face or achieve a more radiant complexion.
Alternatively, for those concerned only with the nose or cheeks—where pores are particularly enlarged and sebum production is high—or for those with noticeable acne scars or indentations in specific areas, there are three treatment options available. Downtime may include redness immediately after the procedure or lasting a few days. This treatment offers tightening effects and is recommended for those who find Dermapen insufficient. It is a unique laser that allows for customized treatment.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to address dark spots and uneven skin tone while also improving pores, firming the skin, and enhancing skin texture? Dual Peel is a combination treatment that achieves all of this at once.
It lightens dark spots in the skin’s superficial layers while delivering heat to the collagen-rich dermis to boost firmness and regenerate the skin’s foundation.
This is a signature treatment of Hollywood Spectra that resolves multiple skin concerns in one session. We can also adjust the settings to treat patients with melasma.
