What is Pollen Allergy Injection?

Hay fever injections are non-steroidal injections using neurotropin preparations. They are recommended for those who suffer annually from runny nose and itchy eyes during pollen season, or who experience side effects like drowsiness or dry throat from oral medications.

Effectiveness is achieved with four treatments, administered once a week.

Neurotropin is effective against all three major hay fever symptoms (runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing). It works by suppressing the mechanism that makes it easier to produce nasal discharge and by inhibiting the increase in eosinophils, which secrete allergens.

Hay fever injections are a treatment that can prevent symptoms by administering it before the peak pollen season. While the effects are mild due to fewer side effects, it remains a popular formulation every year.

Minimal Side Effects

The neurotropin formulation used at our clinic has been utilized for many years as a highly safe pharmaceutical product.

Originally used as a pain reliever, it has recently been found effective in suppressing allergies. While steroids (Kenacort) are often used to alleviate hay fever symptoms, this formulation is recommended for those seeking relief with fewer side effects.

Frequency: We recommend one treatment per week for a total of four sessions.

Preventive use before symptoms appear

It suppresses the proliferation of acetylcholine receptors in the nasal mucosa and inhibits the activity of neutrophils that trigger allergic reactions, thereby suppressing systemic allergic responses.

A disadvantage is that it requires approximately four injections, once per week. Furthermore, administering this injection after hay fever symptoms have already developed results in only very mild symptom improvement. Therefore, we recommend starting treatment before symptoms appear.
