The placenta is the tissue that supports the development of a fetus within the mother’s womb. It is rich in amino acids, vitamins, minerals, and enzymes, all of which work together to promote cell regeneration and repair, maintaining overall health.
The essence extracted from the placenta can be directly injected into the body, providing it with nutrients and beneficial components. This treatment is mainly used for enhancing beauty and health, with the expectation of maintaining youthfulness and boosting immunity.
We offer two types of placenta products that have been approved by Japan’s Ministry of Health: Melsmon and Laennec. Both are derived from placentas provided by healthy women at obstetrics and gynecology clinics within Japan.
For those seeking cosmetic benefits, we recommend Laennec, which contains a slightly higher concentration of placenta than Melsmon. You can choose to receive between one and three ampoules.
At our clinic, placenta injections are administered exclusively via subcutaneous injection.
During the initial visit, a consultation is conducted to discuss the purpose of the treatment and the expected benefits with the doctor. The consultation also includes checks for allergies and health conditions.
The injection is usually administered in the upper arm, but other areas can be chosen if necessary. The procedure typically takes just a few minutes.
If you have any concerns after the treatment, please feel free to contact us. We will adjust the treatment plan as necessary to maintain optimal results.
Although there have been no reported cases of variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) being transmitted through placenta injections (human placenta extract) to date, there is a theoretical risk of transmission due to the human origin of the material. As a precaution, measures have been taken to restrict blood donations from users of these injections.
