What is Hyaluronic Acid Injection?

Hyaluronic Acid Injections

Conditions That Can Be Treated

WrinklesHollowsContours

Hyaluronic acid is a moisturizing component naturally found in the body. This injectable treatment restores natural volume and contours, improving wrinkles and hollows caused by aging, adding volume, and reshaping facial contours.

Hyaluronic acid is injected subcutaneously. This procedure has long been popular because it requires no surgery—just injections—and produces visible results in a short amount of time.

Features

  • A natural finish that doesn’t look artificial
  • Restores facial balance and dimension, not just targeting specific areas
  • Recommendation of the optimal injection volume based on your goals

Advantages

  • Since it is a non-surgical treatment involving only injections, downtime is relatively short
  • You can see results immediately after the injection
  • Depending on the injection site, the hydrating properties of hyaluronic acid can improve firmness and moisture
  • In the unlikely event of complications, the hyaluronic acid can be dissolved

Disadvantages

  • It is absorbed within about six months to a year, so the results will fade
  • In rare cases, allergic reactions, blood clots, or infections may occur

How Hyaluronic Acid Works and Its Effects

Hyaluronic Acid

See results immediately after injection

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring moisture-retaining component in the body and is an essential substance for maintaining the hydration and elasticity of the skin and joints. The injected hyaluronic acid absorbs moisture within the skin tissue and swells, producing the desired effect. Injectable hyaluronic acid has a certain particle size, allowing you to see changes immediately after the procedure.

Hyaluronic acid has the ability to retain up to 1,000 times its own volume in water. By acting as a cushion at the injection site, it produces the following changes:

  • By physically filling in depressions, shadows are softened and signs of fatigue are reduced
  • It supports the skin and subcutaneous tissue, making sagging, shadows, and furrows less noticeable
  • It refines facial contours (jawline, temples, cheeks, etc.) and improves the overall three-dimensional balance of the face
  • By adjusting the firmness (elasticity) of the formulation and the injection layer, results can be tailored from a soft finish to sharp contours

Treatment Process

1

Consultation

We will ask about your concerns, physical condition, and medical history to determine the appropriate injection sites.

2

Disinfection

If you wish to have your face washed, we will start with that. We will thoroughly disinfect the injection sites. (Please note that your makeup will come off during this process.)

3

Treatment

Topical Anesthetic (if desired)

Topical anesthetic is applied to the treatment area (approx. 15–20 minutes). Since injections are administered to the entire face and around the eyes, we recommend the topical anesthetic option for an additional 3,300 yen.

Injections

After confirming the treatment areas with the doctor, injections are administered carefully. You may feel a slight prick, but the discomfort is tolerable. The procedure takes only about 30 minutes.
