Botox injections are medical injections that use a substance called “botulinum toxin” produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. It is a cosmetic procedure that improves and prevents wrinkles and gives a slimming effect by temporarily inhibiting muscle movement by blocking the connection between nerves and muscles.

Difference Between the Botox Vista from Allergan and the Botulinum Toxin Injection Made in Korea

Temperature control is critical for botulinum toxin, and consistent quality is said to be key to its effectiveness. Allergan’s botulinum toxin is the only formulation that can be imported under strictly controlled temperatures, ensuring no difference in efficacy.

Korean-made botulinum toxin is cost-effective due to its lower price, but it is said to be slightly inferior to Allergan in terms of duration and onset of effect.
Many patients opt for Korean products if they prioritize affordability and don’t mind shorter treatment intervals. However, a significant drawback is that these formulations lack national approval, meaning there is no government guarantee should any issues arise with the product.

Treatment

If you are uncomfortable with the pain of injections, we offer a topical anesthetic for 3,300 yen. The topical anesthetic takes an additional 20 minutes.
The doctor will inject the appropriate amount into the appropriate area.It will sting a little, but it’s a pain that you can bear. The procedure takes only about 10 minutes.
You will start to see results in as little as 2 or 3 days. The jowls will gradually become smaller over the course of a month.

Precautions
  • Immediately after the procedure, there will be a swelling for a few hours, similar to that after being bitten by a mosquito. There may also be some internal bleeding at the puncture site, which can be covered up with makeup, although this varies from person to person.
  • In very rare cases, there is a possibility of pigmentation due to internal bleeding.
  • Depending on the area, it may be difficult to make facial expressions, and the eyelids may feel heavy on the forehead. Some people may look gaunt in terms of their facial structure.
  • Local reactions include itching (4%), injection site pain (4.4%), muscle pain (2.6%), and rash (1.7%), but these are temporary and limited to the area around the injection site.
  • In rare cases, allergic reactions may include weakness, dizziness, decreased vision, nausea, abdominal pain, breathing difficulties, loss of consciousness, and convulsions.
  • After the procedure, we ask that women use contraception for two months and men use contraception for three months.
