Acne Sars

Transforming acne scars into smooth skin

Acne Scar Troubles

Prolonged inflammation from acne can lead to the formation of acne scars, such as redness, purple pigmentation, or craters (uneven skin surface). While some may gradually improve over time, it’s challenging to heal scars that have already formed solely through the body’s natural healing process.

Causes and types of Acne scars

  • Redness

Occurs when inflammation remains even after acne has healed. Without appropriate treatment, redness does not naturally fade away.

  • Pigmentation

Caused by melanin produced during acne inflammation, resulting in brownish discoloration resembling spots. Disrupted turnover caused by acne prevents proper exfoliation of old keratin, leaving melanin on the skin and leading to hyperpigmentation.

  • Craters

Result from acne inflammation reaching the deep layers of the skin’s dermis, leaving behind crater-like depressions after healing.

  • Nodules

Occurs when acne inflammation extends deep into the skin, causing excessive skin regeneration and resulting in swelling on the skin’s surface.

  • Keloids

A worsened condition compared to nodules, resembling hypertrophic scars. They develop gradually due to repeated acne in the same area, causing repeated skin regeneration.

Treatment Methods

Retinol Peel

Retinol Peel

Peeling using a type of vitamin A derivative called retinol. Retinol helps improve acne and control excessive sebum secretion. It also promotes skin renewal, making it suitable for improving hyperpigmented acne scars. Additionally, it normalizes the skin’s barrier function, leading to resilient skin, making it suitable for oily skin types.

Advantages
  • Easily accessible with a massage-like sensation
  • Minimal downtime
  • Simultaneously treats, prevents, and improves acne and acne scars
Disadvantages
  • Temporary redness or heat sensation may occur after treatment
  • Skin peeling may occur around the third day after treatment

Professional Peel

Professional Peel

Peeling using a combination of three acids: glycolic acid, lactic acid, and salicylic acid. This peeling removes old keratin more easily and dissolves and removes sebum clogged in pores, improving acne.

Removing old keratin helps regulate skin turnover, making it easier to remove old keratin, including pigmented acne scars, resulting in translucent skin.

Advantages
  • Less irritation compared to conventional chemical peeling
  • Short downtime
  • High effectiveness due to the use of high-concentration acids
Disadvantages
  • Some may experience slight irritation during treatment

Massage Peel(Collagen Peel)

Massage Peel

This chemical peel treatment uses iQo’s special PRX-T33® agent. Applied through massage, it penetrates ingredients into the dermis to promote collagen production.

Without causing strong exfoliation (peeling) on the skin surface, it acts as a powerful biostimulant through interaction, delivering anti-aging effects for the skin.

Advantages
  • Virtually no downtime
  • Short downtime
  • Acts on the dermis without damaging the skin’s surface
Disadvantages
  • Rarely, redness or swelling may occur after treatment
  • Skin may peel slightly a few days after treatment

Uber Peel (Pro)

Uber Peel

This low-irritation peeling agent (Uber Pro) promotes the skin’s natural healing power and stimulates collagen and elastin production. It contains 14 active ingredients, including mandelic acid, lactic acid, and kojic acid, and is highly effective in normalizing skin turnover and improving acne, pigmentation, dullness, and pores.

Benefits
  • Addresses a wide range of skin concerns
  • Short downtime
  • Low irritation, gentle on sensitive skin
Disadvantages
  • May experience temporary tingling sensation during chemical application
  • May cause redness/flushing, dryness, peeling, swelling, or bruising

Electroporation

Electroporation

Electroporation is a treatment that uses short pulses to open up tiny pores in the skin’s cell membrane, allowing beauty ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin. Because the ingredients can be delivered deep into the skin, it is easy to notice the effects, and there is no risk of leaving scars on the skin.

Advantages
  • Almost no downtime
  • Leaves the skin feeling moist
  • Minimal pain during treatment
  • Improves skin texture
Disadvantages
  • There may be a tingling sensation during the treatment
  • There may be redness or a feeling of heat after the treatment

Dermapen4

Dermapen4

Derma Pen 4 is a regenerative treatment that aims to improve skin texture from the root by opening small holes in the epidermis and dermis with ultra-fine needles thinner than a hair. Compared to conventional Derma Pens, it can produce high-level results with less pain and stress on the skin thanks to its superior characteristics, such as speed and needle shaft stability.

Advantages
  • Less downtime than conventional derma pens
  • Improves skin texture
  • Improves pigmentation
  • Can be combined with active ingredients
Disadvantages
  • You may feel pain depending on the needle depth
  • Rarely, you may feel a burning sensation after the treatment
